FIDA Ogun Celebrates International Day of the Girl 2024 with Empowering Visit to Anglican Girls Grammar School
In honor of the International Day of the Girl 2024, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Ogun State Branch, in partnership with the Teen Girls Enlightenment Initiative’s Girls in Science and Technology (GIST), visited Anglican Girls Grammar School (Private) in Ijebu Ode on October 11th, 2024.
The event featured an engaging panel discussion on key issues impacting the future of young girls, focusing on health, education, their rights, and the unique challenges they encounter. The students actively participated, asking thoughtful questions that were expertly addressed by the panel. Some students also received personalized counseling to further support their growth and well-being.
FIDA Ogun appreciates the school administration for facilitating this impactful session. We are confident that these discussions have inspired the girls to pursue their dreams and empowered them with the knowledge to navigate their future with confidence.
