Empowering Women: FIDA Asaba Branch Leads Inspiring Dialogue on International Women’s Day 2024

FIDA (Nig.) Asaba Branch celebrated International Women’s Day 2024 with a phone-in radio program on Trend 100.9 FM, Okpanam, focusing on the theme “Inspire Inclusion: Investing in Women, Accelerate Progress.” Secretary Ifeoma Iloba highlighted FIDA Nigeria’s mission to protect women and children’s rights through legal support, emphasizing the global need to combat biases and stereotypes. The program advocated for unbiased support for women’s life choices, promoting gender equality and encouraging women to pursue diverse interests and careers. Panelists included representatives from Women-in-Tech and Blossom Care Foundation, discussing initiatives to empower women in technology and build confidence in young girls. Callers praised the program’s guidance on nurturing children’s interests and celebrated the women in their lives, fostering dialogue on gender inclusion and empowerment.

16 Days of Activism 2020

As part of the UN 16 days activism to eradicate gender based violence, FIDA Delta Chairperson Stellamaris Mejulu carried out a sensitization through Trend FM on the 12th of December 2020.
