Delegates from twenty-three (23) FIDA Nigeria branches, FIDA Nigeria partners and friends of FIDA converged in Abuja, FCT for the FIDA Week/AGM which held in Abuja FCT from 28th – 30th November, 2016 with the theme “Strengthening the Nigerian Legal Framework for Effective Prosecution of Gender Based Violence”. This theme is a follow-up from the FIDA Nigeria maiden session held at the 56th Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference (AGC). The FIDA Nigeria week ended in a Continuing Legal
Education (CLE) session which is a compulsory requirement for every legal practitioner.
The CLE was held in plenary, panel discussions, debates, and question and answer sessions where issues on violence against women and girls were interrogated and deliberated on with the aim of building the capacity of members of FIDA Nigeria for effective prosecution of gender based cases.
